Can someone in our Government please modernize our electoral college?

Our fore fathers used it to collect votes by horseback. If we need the college as a HELP in collecting votes instead of doing away with it, why have some states as winner take all and some as not? It would work better as one vote per district. If close in district recount and review. This would be more like one person one vote. If the candidates our close in popular vote look over all close districts recount and review.

   The electoral college was set up as a compromise not because of collecting votes. They could have used FEDEX for that if they had a problem.

   it would be nice, wouldn’t it? It would have kept Bush out of office–once, anyway.
