There are many reasons for them to eat their own poo and most have nothing to do with health issues. I would just make sure he does not develope any other health issues and let him be. If it really bugs you then pick the poo out of his stall. It could be related to a stud issue if he was gelded late. Do not worry about it being something to do with what you are feeding him.
