Do you have to use an english bridle to take lessons?

Hannah asked:

I want to start taking lessons at this nearby stable, and I was just wondering if they would allow me to ride my own horse with my english saddle and my kind of western bridle. It’s a normal bridle with just a browband and has a chinstrap. There is nothing on the nose. I am riding with a broken bit (not a snaffle bit). Would they allow me to ride and jump with that?

They should allow you. It sounds okay to me.
