horse back riding levels ?

Samantha asked:

are there levels of horse back riding like in hockey or other sports?
if so what are the different levels and is it different for dressage and jumping what test do you have to take ( written and physical ) are there grooming and stall cleaning main braiding and other simple tasks like that ? how can you reach these levels and where do you go to do these tests ? can you use your own horse ? and last but not least what proof do you have once you completed these tests or levels a piece of paper , form , or plaque ??

I don’t know what it’s like in other countries, but in England you can take the British Horse Society’s Tests (like the advanced stage 1 and 2) and through Pony Club you can take absolutely loads of tests from the very basic E up to the highly thought of A test.

Most of these tests include stable management modules and in Pony Club you can work towards badges as well and a Road Riding Safety Test and Lunging Test, Polo and Hunting as well. (and I think that the Pony Club operates around the world too!) .

    Hope that helped!
