well,i know how you feel! When i was double-riding a very "pushy-button"horse i got bucked off the horse and nearly broke my tailbone.I was a little afraid of riding the horse but i always went outside and pet them and gave them treats!it only took me a month to get over ot and start riding again! You should really just believe in yourself and feel confident when you get up on your horse b/c the horse will feel the same way as you!Give you and your horse one more chance!Think about it was it your fault you fell off or the horse's?!If you havent interacted with him since 2005 then it might feel lonely!!!be sure to show it lots of love and kindness!Show it that you love it!Then maybe you will be able to ride it easier! Also you should try training you and your horse!there are many good and cheap trainers out there!Just please trust me on this one!I KNOW HORSES!!![and love them][and have one][and go trail riding!!!!!]for extra good advice ask the ppl at the Brass Ring Ranch! They know horses pretty well!BYE~BYE!

<a href="">horse owning</a>

Hi - I've had a very similar experience and I know what it feels like to be terrified of your horse! You and your horse should be a partnership and you're certainly not that! I would book a freelance instructor to come to your yard and help the two of you to see eye to eye. If you are too worried to ride him generally, just ride him with the instructor present. Is anyone else on your yard capable of riding him who can give you advice and suggestions? It maybe that your horse is simply not suitable for you in which case it is the safest and fairest course for both of you to sell him on to a more suitable rider who can make him feel happier and find yourself another horse who will actually give you confidence. Is there another horse on your yard or a friend's that is a bit of a plod to start giving you your confidence back?
