im 5′6-5′7 ish and everyone loves how me & my horse look together because of his height and my height, hes 15.3. its really not about height though, its more your weight. a pony should be fine, but again its about your weight more. (horses can hold 20 percent of their weight)
Yes, you may fit on him/her now, but if you’re still growing, than I would just make sure that in about a year or 2 you didn’t have to sell the horse or pony for a bigger one.
Even if someone says that they don’t think you will grow anymore, just to be on the safe side, go ahead and get a horse whos height starts at 14.2hh
a 13.2-14.3 HH horse should be good for you. Ponies are absolutely okay because horses and ponies are extremely strong animals and can carry adults. I am 5′9” and have a 15HH horse that I jump. But you are likely to grow and you don’t want to out-grow your little friend so I’d go bigger rather than smaller. Also, welsh or cob type ponies are very hardy and can carry any weight so they are a good choice as well.
Maybe a 13-14 hand high pony such as a small arab or arab x welsh pony, they are very strong (even a full grown adult can ride them) and they’re beautiful.

I’d get a horse that is 14.2 atleast.

Id get a horse at least 15 hands cause you might still be growing.
